The long winter break between periods 2 and 3 at INSEAD takes me to two of the few Asian countries I haven't visited, Myanmar and Laos. My first stop was the capital city of Yangoon, (formerly named Rangoon) in Myanmar (formerly named Burma), "Land of the Golden Pagoda" a name clearly deserved as there are pagodas with and without gold leaf literally everywhere! These pictures are from street scenes around the capital city and in its best known landmark, the sacred Shwedagon temple.
